foodLIFE

I love to eat and eat well, but I do not consider myself a foodie.  Here’s why: I’m just as satisfied by a $6 fast food meal as I am a $300 dinner.  At the end of the day, as long as I am full I’m happy.

I despise mediocrity when it comes to food (well, I hate mediocrity in almost anything in life, but that’s a subject for another time). I don’t mind cheap crappy food.  In fact, I love it.  I also don’t mind Michelin starred restaurants or and other high end meals.  And I have no qualms paying for it.  However, I hate all the merely “ok” restaurants in the city – the places where you pay for food that’s merely average.

Unfortunately, there are many places like that here, so you have to be choosy.  And apart from my love for the New York food “scene,” if that’s what you want to call it, I write this so you don’t waste your time in the middle.  With that, let’s dig in.
