I had the most fortuitous privilege of accidentally dropping into Whitehall in the West Village. Top to bottom, this is one of the most well done bars and restaurants in New York. The decor is absolutely fantastic. It is clear that every detail, from the benches and chairs to the ceiling were thoughtfully designed. The menus are filled with unique and reasonably priced concoctions and nibbles. And the place is perfect for making a reservation or dropping in on a whim. Given the abundant dining and drinking establishments in the West Village, this one is a must. Unquestionably one of my new favorite spots within New York City.
